President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev held a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on 16 March after arrival in Tashkent.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 16 March. Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev welcomed the Kazakh leader at the Tashkent airport.
The main events of the visit are scheduled for 17 March. Leaders of two states will exchange opinion on bilateral relations, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
It is planned that on the result of talks, the sides will sign several bilateral documents directed at developing interaction between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
