Kyrgyz human rights defender Nematillo Botakozuev extradited from Dushanbe to Osh

DUSHANBE. 24 May. Asia-Plus -- Kyrgyz human rights defender Namatillo Botakozuev who was taken into custody in Dushanbe since February 26 this year was extradited to Osh, the Prosecutor General’s Office told the AP.
This information was confirmed by Botakozuev’s brother Muhammadsoleh Muhammadtohir who also said that the Osh court will consider today an opportunity to amnesty human rights defender who participated in the Nookan events. Related decree of new authorities of Kyrgyzstan on 32 participants of the Nookan events was issued on April 27.
Despite the fact of amnesty Botakozuev’s colleague, a public rights defender from Osh Ravshan Gapirov, is about to file an appeal on reopening of Botakozuev’s case. According to him, the new government guarantees safety for all amnestied participants of the 2008 Nookan events and Botakozuev’s presence in Osh will be secured.
