Kazakhstan provides humanitarian aid to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, February 13, 2010, Asia-Plus -- A bulk of Kazakhstan’s humanitarian aid to Tajikistan was handed over to Tajik officials in Dushanbe on February 12, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
The aid-handover ceremony was attended by Kazakh Ambassador to Tajikistan Abutalip Akhmetov and representatives from Tajikistan’s State Material Reserves Agency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We will recall that the Government of Kazakhstan made decision on providing humanitarian aid to Tajikistan on January 29, 2010.
The assistance included 1,000 tons of rice and 1,500 tons vegetable oil.
