The supervisory board of open joint-stock company (OJSC) NBO Roghun has partially complied with request of commercial banks, having extended the money return period by six months.

Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Struan Stevenson is accompanying Tajik resident on his trip to the site for construction of the Roghun HPP.

Only those shareholders of joint-stock company (OJSC) NBO Roghun are participating in the meeting that have passed through registration.

“We would like to discuss Roghun issue with representatives of Uzbekistan but they, unfortunately, have decided not to participate in these negotiations,” Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Asadullo Ghulomov noted.

Representative of civil society from Tajikistan are participating in information-sharing and discussion meeting on the assessment studies for the proposed Roghun Regional Water Reservoir and Hydropower Project (Roghun HPP).

Representatives of government bodies and civil society from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have been brought together to discuss first reports on assessment studies for the proposed Roghun Regional Water Reservoir and Hydropower Project (Roghun HPP).

The World Bank organizes the first information-sharing and discussion meeting on the assessment studies for the Roghun hydroelectricity project.

“If we consider all complaints of our neighbors and do not complete construction of the Roghun HPP, the power supply situation in our country will deteriorate even more,” Gul Sherali said.
