Conference on national traditions and modern trends held in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, October 6, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The 5th international symposium entitled “Higher Education Institutions of Culture and Arts within World Education Space.  Training of Personnel for the Sphere of Culture and Arts: National Traditions and Modern Trends” took place in Dushanbe on October 3-6.

Organized by the Ministries of Culture and Education of Tajikistan and Russia, the Federation Council Committee for CIS Affairs (Russia) under support of the CIS Interstate Fund for humanitarian Cooperation (IFHC) and the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the event brought together researchers, public figures and artistes from many countries of the world.

The main objective of the symposium was in sharing experience in training of personnel for the sphere of culture and arts.

On the first day of the conference, Chancellor of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts also ex Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Dr. Ramazan Abdulatipov, delivered a paper and presented his new book “My Tajik People.”

A concert of organ music took place at Tajik State Institute of Arts on the same day.

An official ceremony of opening of the symposium was held in the government out-of-town residence, Pugus, in Varzob district on October 4 and then the symposium continued its work at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe.
