31.8 mln somoni spent for construction of Navrouzgoh Complex in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, March 18, 2011, Asia-Plus -- 10 facilities were put in commission in Dushanbe ahead of the Navrouz holiday, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s said.
According to him, the facilities have been built by Dushanbe companies and private entrepreneurs. “A total cost of the facilities is 54.5 million somoni,” Saidov noted.
The main facility put in commission on the occasion of the Navrouz holiday is the Navrouz Entertainment and Sports Complex that has been built in the place of Dushanbe hippodrome.
“31.8 million somoni (equivalent to more than 7 million U.S. dollars) have been allocated from the Dushanbe budget for construction of the Navrouzgoh complex,” the spokesman said.
