ASIA-Plus is an independent media group of the Republic of Tajikistan having worked on the country’s media market since 1995. The ASIA-Plus Media Group includes News Agency, Publishing House and TV and Radio Company.
 
NEWS AGENCY
 
The ASIA-Plus News Agency was registered with the Ministry of Justice in 1995 and the first edition of Agency’s information analytical bulletin in the English and Russian languages was published in April 1996. The Agency has its correspondent’s offices in all regions of Tajikistan as well as in Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom. Today, the Executive Office of the President of Tajikistan, the Parliament, ministries and departments, banks, local big commercial companies as well as all the diplomatic missions accredited in Tajikistan and the majority of international organizations working in the country use news provided by the ASIA-Plus News Agency. The www.news.tj (www.asiaplus.tj) news portal is an absolute leader within the TJ domain registration area.
 
PUBLISHING HOUSE
 
The ASIA-Plus social and political newspaper has been published since January 2000. Reviewing the results of work of Tajik medial outlets in 2000, the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan recognized ASIA-Plus as “the newspaper of the most efficient and authentic news.” In 2001, the newspaper was given the Lohuti Award instituted by the Tajik Journalists’ Union. Today, the newspaper has the highest circulation of any social and political newspaper in Tajikistan and holds a leading position on the local media market.
 
The VIPzone lifestyle magazine, a supplement of the ASIA-Plus newspaper, has been published since March 14, 2008.
 
TV & RADIO COMPANY
 
ASIA-Plus Radio (FM107) is the first independent radio station in Dushanbe. The radio station went on the air on September 9, 2002. It runs news bulletins in Tajik and Russian alternately on the hour, and plays music from all over the world. The radio broadcasts 24 hours per day and it covers Dushanbe and nearby districts.
 
TV Production Studio is provided with the digital equipment DVCAM. The studio creates all types of video products, news items, documentary and educational films, public service announcements and music clips.
 
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM
 
The Independent School of Journalism "Tajikistan - 21st Century" is a non-governmental organization founded by the ASIA-Plus journalists in 1999. It is partner of the ASIA-Plus Media Group for implementation of training programs. To-date, the School has conducted more than 100 training seminars on raising professionalism of journalists from all regions of the country. The School is closely collaborating with faculties of journalism at Moscow National University, Tajik National University and the Dushanbe-based Russian-Tajik Slavic University. Skilled teachers from media-centers and journalists working with leading media outlets from Russia, the United States, Germany, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are invited to conduct training workshops at the School.
